We allow for free updates within the same major version. So if you for instance purchased a version 1.2 then all 1.x updates are free of charge.
When we release the next major version (in our example that would be 2.x) you have the option to keep your version or purchase an upgrade to the new version for a reduced price.
The software version you have purchased will never expire- you are never forced to purchase a new major version, only if you welcome the new features.
